Switches - Process

A switch is a device used for sensing pressure, temperature, fluid level, vibration, etc. The switch closes an electrical contact when a certain set has been reached. Once the electrical contact is closed, the single is relayed to other devices (i.e. pressure control valve, emergency shutdown valve, engine, etc.) or to a programmable logic controller (PLC) via a electric or pneumatic circuit.
